Many people suffer from allergy symptoms in the home. Chances are your house is filled with dust, dust mites, mould, and other allergy triggers you can’t see.

Dust Mites

These microscopic bugs feed on dead skin cells and produce harmful allergens with their faeces.   • Keep your pets outdoors, or limit them to one room in the house. At the very least, put a ban on your bedrooms.
  • Control cockroaches with traps from your local hardware store.
  • Maintain temperature between 20°C-22°C and keep relative humidity no higher than 50%.
  • Minimise the humidity in your home by opening windows and using exhaust fans. Dehumidifiers are a great way to reduce the humidity in your home during the hotter months.

Use Medication

From over-the-counter antihistamines and nasal sprays to prescribed medications, there are several options for reducing your allergy symptoms. If you visit an allergy specialist, they’ll be able to determine your allergy triggers and prescribe the appropriate medication or solution.
